Default I got sound to work on internal speaker and headphones.
I got the sound to work on both the internal speaker and through the headphones on my ux280p.

It even switches between the two outputs when the headphones are inserted and removed.

Here it is. Internal mic works now. Headphones must be chosen output device.

You will also need this.

Both files go into System/Library/Extensions. Make sure you remove AppleAzzalia.kext and ALCInject.kext (if there).

Be sure to repair permissions after putting files into the Extensions folder.

pahncrd, this is the second greatest thing to happen to OSX on the UX. (The first was dgarcia fixing the spastic thumb stick.) I installed these kexts on my 10.5.2 install (I really should update to 10.5.4, but havn't had time), and it is working perfectly. AWESOME work!

Now the next thing is to make the upek controller work as well as the camera..
I have a fully working touch panel with this site.
http://touch-base.com/
I ordered them a driver for my ux under osx and guess what!
Touch screen now is working perfectly!

$219 is an awful lot for just a calibration tool (OSX has some native touch support). What model "tyouch device" did you tell them you had? (the evaluation form asks for that.

The gunze one...
The one they had did not work with my ux...so they built a new one according to my situation . (I was providing them with the values they need within their developing software)
I was searching for a native driver for a year in known forums and places but nothing has worked for my ux...

I needed a fully worked touch screen as i use my ux for painting with Art Rage.

interesting. (and I felt dumb -- figured out/remembered the gunze thing after I posted...) I suppose one good thing about a $220 license is a willingness to compile a special version for you.

I am an osx86 user about 2,5 years now. I understood very well that if you want to make new driver for something then you have to be an expert in programming for hardware. This requires a lot of skills, experience and a lot of years sleeping with C++. Its impossible right now to make the touch screen of a ux work with the drivers and the projects that are appearing in known forums.
I also emailed Upek a couple of months ago (when the released the upek for mac solution). They told me that right now this particular chipset (i cant remember its name now) cannot be supported with the software they developed. So its impossible right now for the ux's upek to work.
I have also got in touch with some person of the macam project. I asked for their help in order to make the camera work but they didnt have the time or the willingness to spend time to this type of the sony camera, even they were capable of.
Sorry for the long post.
Again a big bravo to pahncrd
