For those with the nub mouse issue, I believe this same problem exists on UX + OSX/Linux, but I think it's been fixed. Might be worth researching those solutions to find one that applies to Windows 8.

It sucks that Metro can't run on the UX. MS turned their back on UMPCs completely.

Windows 8 Dev Build Available -- Possible to run on UX?

Hey guys, I'm at IDF this week where they just announced that the Windows 8 developer build is available to anyone. You can find it here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/home/ System requiements seem to indicate that the UX won't have a problem running it (minimum reqs: 1GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, Di...

Hey friz, I'll respond more comprehensively when I have more time but I've been reading through here looking at what you want to accomplish and I wanted to mention two things so that you can continue your search in the meantime. First is battery life. Don't forget that the UX doesn't run very long (...

Hi Friz, I'll answer what I can: First, the OQO 2+ was a sweet machine but never made it to market. There are only a handful of these floating around, so not only is it extremely difficult to find one, but you'll be looking at around $2500 to actually buy one. If you want to play WoW on the UX, expe...

Well we have a whole site about the UX here, I don't think I need to go to yet another forum where our beloved UX doesn't even get a section. I didn't add a UX section because I figured it'd be useless because we have all of our UX info here. I was inviting you folks over there in case you have som...

The older drivers for the WiFi can be somewhat iffy. What exactly is the issue, does the UX not see any WiFi networks in range? Or is it failing when it tries to connect? (silly, but worth a double-check: make sure your WiFi switch wasn't flipped on by accident (bottom right of the device).

Hey folks, I know that this is and will always be the home for UX users. We've created a wealth of knowledge here on MPCT for this loved little device that is really quite impressive. That said, I'd like to welcome all of you, you that made this forum so great, to join me over at the recently launch...

Very cool! It's a shame that Toshiba did wrong by the Libretto heritage and made the stupid and impractical W100 with dual screens and no hardware keyboard.
