Turning off the wifi seems to almost double my battery life. However like I said I can't really do that simply because I'm almost always on the internet with it. Grace, how do I go about turning off indexing, and how much power do you think it would really save? Will turning it off effect the UX tha...

Thanks for the tip, however I've always had my Windows Aero off to improve system performance, though I had no idea it would help with battery life : )

I seriously cannot wait until they update the drivers, can anyone find out when. I HATE having the fingerprint scanner, but not being able to use it. I'm using Vista RC1 build 5600, and the scanner itself works (if you go to tutorial you can swipe your fingers and actually see what they look like) b...

Tips for keeping battery life to the max?

I'm currently running Windows Vista RC1, build 5600, using the power saver option all the time. However, I always get nearly exactly 1 min of battery life for each % of battery charge. So essentially, my battery lasts for 100 mins. Is this common for most people? Seems a bit short for me. Well I was...

Ah! How do I turn my Bluetooth OFF!

I was really excited to get my Bluetooth working again after installing Windows Vista RC1, build 5600. To do this I had Windows update the driver, then pressed Fn+F on the UX's keyboard and clicked the little Bluetooth icon, and it worked. However I can't find out how to turn it off!! This is a huge...

Anyone have Bluetooth or Fingerprint scanner workig on Vista RC1 yet?

Just as the title asks, wondering if anyone has gotten their Bluetooth or Fingerprint scanner to work with Vista RC1. I'm using build 5600, really sucks to lose the convenience and functionality of both features, is there any way to make them work?

Simple solution and it works 100%: don't take it to school with you. :D I would never allow my kids to take expensive stuff with them to school, it doesn't only provoke theft, it also creates a lot of envy. Well you see the thing is, I have the thing to (gasp) use it. School takes up my life 5 days...

Keeping your UX safe?

Just wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions as to how to keep your UX safe. It was pretty scary, and at the same time eye opening when my friend pulled the UX out of my pocket without me noticing, and only getting it back after I went into a panick. I take my UX to school every day with me, I ...

[quote="edblor"]The better part of 15GB unfortunately:eek: I had installed the pre-RC1 build and it sucked large! I may install the latest post RC-1 install that came out yesterday...not sure yet though. I think it would be best for us UX users to wait for Vista to go live, and Sony to sup...
