Looks like there's no content available at that link now. I'm looking at getting one of the new Q1 Ultras. probably the EL model $799. I'm planning to remove vista and install XP.

Regards,

Matt

Are the Q1 Ultras available for sale?

If so, has anyone here gotten one? I have a Q1 and I could just never get into it.

I bought mine from Costco.com a few weeks ago and am thoroughly loving it! I tried to make the UX280P my own, but it was a struggle and Sony Service was the final straw for me. The only upgrade I've done is an easy upping of the RAM to 2GB. The Q1U is much zippier than the UX280P to me. The input options are pretty good and inking works out of the box. I was very surprised that I liked the tiny keyboard. The bigger screen is also much easier on my eyes.

It couldn't have been easier. Just five screws, the case comes apart and you pop in a new stick. Hugo Ortega posted an easy-to-follow video on YouTube.

Want to know what games work and don't work on your UX? Read my list.
Just do a clean install of Vista and come here for driver assistance? Download my pack: here.

Pray tell...where will you put it ? And do you really need 2 UMPCs ?

(That's the financial advisor coming out of me, I routinely scold my clients for giving in to their "I want it now" urges instead of funding things like retirement or their kid's college education).

Have fun with it. Why don't you at least start a hardware eval blog and maybe you can get some advertisers to subsidize your "habit".

Or maybe a site called "The New Math with Perfesser (sic) Johnson". You know "if Johnny has 2 apples and he eats 3, how many extra days does he have to work to pay the big bad apple purveyor ?"
