sorry guys, ill try to keep online 24/7, but the odd day i have to give my computer a rest ;), but ill try to keep online from now on til the channel takes off, also im after someone to sort me out with an admin bot so that everyone gets a nice welcome ;)

comeon guys, we got the basics setup now.. comeon down and pay us a visit, all try and get software clients instead of java clients so that you can leave it on in the background when using your compute/umpc

i reccomend mIRC as its the most widely used clients, you can get this from mirc.com or download.com

and a tutorial for mIRC can be found by simply googling "mirc tutorial" but its all pretty easy to figure out by playing around with it. the basics you need to connect is the network, nickname and channel

network: irc.p2p-irc.net
channel: #umpc
nickname: <your mpct forum name>

once you have your nickname setup you can just type this into any window...

/server irc.p2p-irc.net j #umpc
