Thinking on new docking-mods, I've seen this on ebay:

...and made me wonder: could this be used to the hdd integration,and take profit of the card readers,and expansion slots,and somehow join that to the dock? (I mean with a minimum good-looking finish...)
With that,and the external BlueRay ahead, the UX put at the dock would be an awesome Desktop pc.

Yeah, you could mod that to the dock for sure:D It would take some skills with epoxy putty, but it wouldn't be too hard.
My UX is already a pretty good desktop PC.
I have a Samsunbg 19" UXVGA monitor, an external 60GB hdd (temporary, until I move up to something bigger) my Samsung Super-Multi optical drive with lightscribe, my Logitech speakers, and 2 USB hubs (4 ports each):cool:

I'd love to add 1Tb on the dock,and have that space when I use the UX as a Desktop...

you wont get 1tb just yet teh largest i have seen a 2.5" drive is 700gb. its close thow

Seagate and WD have 1Tb 2.5" HDD, but they are about 4mm taller than standard 2.5,wich is a problem for a laptop.The only trouble in this mod,would be the HDD will need a few mm from downside,wich could be solved adding 2-3mm feet.

the will have an extra platter then. 1.8' drives do the same thing. single platemax is 120gb and duel platter is 240. alot of sony things only seem to take the 5mm single platter drives
