Actually problem solved Sull86, its all good now. I just downloaded an old version of the driver but, again thanks a lot you've made the whole process of downgrading easy.

I guess my next project will be the GPS system :)

Also... if your buttons and stuff dont work at this stage, click START, All Programs, VAIO Control Center and you can configure everything there...

My UX380 will be arriving tomorrow. I also own the Ux50, running the Tablet o/s. Wondering this .. Let's say I made a Ghost image of my UX50 .. could I install it on the UX380 ? Once before I tried Vista on a Fujitsu and hated it .. Sorry, but sometimes I am not the computer guru I pretend to be. My husband is, and I thought of asking him, but since he has no clue that I bought YET ANOTHER computer, decided to ask all my questions here. diane

That awesome lol ...

Vista sucks on the UX to say the least, your ghost image will most likely work ..

Quite a while back I made an image of Vista for the folks here with all driver/applications included .. using Acronis True image .. everyone had to have vista ..

That makes me think it will work, though I remember 1 person having an issue and could not restore my image ..

Good luck ..

So you are saying that I should be able to restore an image of my UX50 to my UX380 ??

I just purchased a VGN380N, and I was wondering if I should install the Windows XP Tablet Edition or the regular ver of XP?

Thanks in advance.

theonlynickleft,

I cannot say for sure, it is worth a try, like I said it worked with Acronis True Image so I imagine it will with Ghost :)

SyNcOpE,

I would say just standard XP is fine, if you really want you can add Tablet Edition 2005 features into XP, I recently removed them from my CD, they just seem useless on the UX, would probably be better one say the Q1
