Hi Everyone,
I am running Windows Xp and It is too slow.There is an error occurring that is CRC error.I think it is happening due to this error..
Does any one know how to solve the error??
XP is slow...any Solution?

I would go to Device manger/ide-ata controller/primary channel/advanced settings. Look at Transfer Mode (should be set to "DMA if available") & Current Transfer Mode (should be Ultra DMA 5 or 2) on device 0. If it says "PIO", that would explain slow performance. If windows sees some glitches in hdd operation, it will go to a slower transfer mode (from DMA down to PIO). If that's the case, try uninstalling the primary IDE driver (in the "driver" tab) & reboot, then recheck the transfer mode.. Sometimes you can have problems with old motherboard drivers, or a failing hdd. hope this helps.
