Fingerprint reader finally working!

The fingerprint reader works flawlessly with fingerprintGUI:

Just install it using the --with-upek switch.

just followed the instructions and got the finger print reader working perfectly. thanks for the link Fnord. For others installing this, follow the step by step instructions pdf it comes with exactly, and be very careful as it could stuff up authentication to "su". once it works, it is totally amazing.

I've contacted to UPEK support, and they are giving me best atention! They are giving me hope! I'm trying few things on Win 7 to set the drivers, product id...etc, and then they will give me an answer about Mac!!!

Just to confirm this works on Ubuntu 10.10 Desktop as well. Just done the install and right index finger now logs me in! Just remember that you have to install the Upek proprietary library as well.
