Copied AppleIntegratedFrameBuffer.kext to desktop
Downloaded KextHelper B7
Downloaded these kexts

Download 10.6.8 combo update, not by system update but from
apple website and install ... DO NOT REBOOT when finished.
Before reboot re-install the original AppleIntegratedFrameBuffer.kext
and install the other kexts you just downloaded with kexthelper b7
Then get kexthelper to clear caches and fix permissions and finally
hit the reboot button on the finished 10.6.8 combo update.
10.6.8 working fine.....
Patch for glidestick still works well.
Still have to re-do the patch to get ethernet working again
and never have installed patched dsdt or fakesmc 2.5 but I only just
installed from a 10.6 disc last night, and knew that there was a way to
get 10.6.8 working, so for now a pretty vanilla guid install using whole
hdd as macos partition.
Anyway looking to read and add all the extra stuff later.
Hope to hear from anyone else who uses this procedure.
10.6.8 update working fine for me.....

Mmm...I don't think we can get Lion working flawessly on UX...we can't get multitouch ever, and I dno't want a slow OS (limited by actual hardware...). I think SL10.6.8 is PERFECT as main OS, and don't think Lion would be such a difference...
Maybe give it a try to check it...
Again thanks for help on update!

Few things about Snow Leopard before this goes dead because the Lion... :
- Just bought a WD MyBook, and connected to dock by Firewire and automatically detected! Didn't run a speedtest, but it seem is faster than usb connection (wich MyBook already has too!) (and seems the same on Win7)
- There is "10.6.8 critical update" or something like this...Anyone tried?
- Wanted to turn off scren on UX while connected to external monitor...Nothing found, nothing works...AND don't try InsomniaX soft!!!! It will crash your system. Any ideas???

some interesting reading about mac os and usb speeds being slower than usb speeds in windows.
So can you use the ux on external monitor? and if so can you set the external monitor resolution independent from the ux internal screen? ie span instead of cloning the screen?

Yes, I'm using my ux connected to the external monitor, and with drivers provided here I'm able to set resolution independent, without cloning the screen, but no option to close UX's... With Macbook you can just close screen to turn it off and stay powered On connected to external...and no option like that on UX...
Thanks for help!
Thanks for help!
If you upgrade to core 2 duo, you have to reinstall everything or you will get kernel panic.
