Why would you try & use the 3945 card? I'm sure computer cowboy knows better cards that would work with Windows & OSX (airport card?

It's on the dock and can turn LCD off as in power preferences.
Just touch on the LCD screen and it will be back on.
There is shutdown issue with 10.6.8.
10.6.3 is shutting down fine, but 10.6.8 freezes at blue screen.

wonder whats causing the mic bug. U have tested the mic in windows to see if it works correctly right? if it is, it must be something to do with the gain settings for the mic

Mic bug related to driver. It happened while ago with 10.5 too.
Osxers can fix that problem, but it renders speaker won't work anymore, only headphone jack and mic.
