I never said I like the Vaio P
I think it sucks really hard, compared to another Netbook. Nearly same hardware, but 100% more expensive!

i recently upgraded the vaio p hdd, at the moment itll only take a 5mm hdd, due to space constraints, so u are limited to 80gb samsung drive which is a lot better and faster than stock, google samsung HS082HB, its about 60 dollars on ebay

I looked at the specs on this HDD and it is slower than the 60 GB HDD that comes stock. So how is it faster when the RPM's are 4200 and the stock drive is 5400??

I picked up the Vaio P 'cheap' and I think it's pretty good. I have to say the price before was silly and the current price with cashback and a 2yr extended warranty and so forth is more like it. It's still more expensive than a more powerful netbook, but then so is it lighter and cooler and lacking a noisy fan. I still love the UX, which you can carry anywhere, and is more powerful, but the P actually has a great keyboard. And that silly-wide screen is just great. It suits me.

For about 1 1/2 year I owned a Vaio UX, but a week ago I bought a Vaio P for University and writing. I think even with vista on it it is really fast.

I'd love to have a "P" to add to my collection. I HATE netbooks, but the P is nice.

1. size is too big to be a UMPC. I want them in my pockets, so I don't look like a geek walking around the street. I like flirting with girls(lol), but if the girl I liked has the impression of me being a computer geek and carries around my computer all day, she wouldn't like me.

2. no touchscreen, so it is not really a UX replacement.
