A new super useful program in my book is ccleaner. While Win7 has TRIM & a few manufacturers have their own proprietary tools, Most folk with XP can't maintain their ssd's. Ccleaner can (manually) wipe the "empty" sections of your drive, which should help keep performance up. It can also remove lots of the "junk" files that accumalate over time.

Virtual CD 9 now has virtual DVD burning support in Vista, the only program I know of that currently has this capability. I used it to make my recovery DVDs from the VAIO Recovery program, then transfered and burned them using my desktop. This method appeared to be a success, but the recovery process failed with a copy error halfway through. I was using an "unsupported" USB DVD-ROM drive, though, so that may have been the culprit.
