Hay guys Im looking to upgrade my UX380's wifi card to something that will allow abit more range. I also want it to be realiable.
Ive had a look at the intel 5350 and 5300 cards, but looking through the forum there seems to be a number of users who have had problems with these cards.
I also have a Sony VGN-AR51SU laptop which has a intel 4965 card in it which has been great. So I could possibly upgrade the laptops card and use the 4965 in the UX.
Any ideas which card I should get??
Many thanks
Tom
Which wifi card??
if you will send it to Anh for U7700 mod, better get an e169 modem too. I find a lot more use for UX now since I got 3G and a 1GB data package on it. I haven't turned on wifi for weeks. besides, you can use it as a cell phone too. just my 2 cents.

no, I guess it won't be faster than tethering, they will be about equal. if you find tethering not cumbersome, it looks like the way to go for you:) Get a 4965, switch your wireless network to "n" along with a router with high gain antenna.

I run 10.6.3 in 32 bit mode and it's work great with de wmp600n with ralink kext from ralink site. I too just gor a C-200 and the mini mii pc wifi card. Sadly I was hoping to use its 802.11 5ghz to stream a 1:1 hi bit rate blu ray, but thats not enough bandwith. After 10 seconds the video and audio stutters badly. So, I'll be selling my mini MIi wifi card.
