UX Docking station backplate
UX Docking station backplate
so i bought a sony ux on ebay a year and a half ago and havent much used it, the keyboards too big for my small hands. its a neat little device though. my biggest issue is i have the docking station but the ebay buyer gyped me on the plastic backplate and it's really bothersome. i'm looking for someone or someplace i can buy just the backplate from. im currently using two disposable plastiuc knives to hold it up, its really not a good fit. lmfao

When I checked last, that little bit of plastic was stupidly expensive ($85 or so). I'd try taking a piece of plexiglass, carefully warming it down the middle with a heat gun, & bending it into a sharp crease to match the angle of the UX in the dock. Then secure the plexi to the top of the dock with 2-side sticky tape.

Mine had one of the tabs, that hold it in place, break off after a short while. It's sort of hanging on by a thread!

best solution is to find a dock on ebay that comes with a working back plate
. Not sure why sony charges a premium for that part, guess there is not that much demand for it.

its cost so much cos its a very spasific part that only comes with a hole unet. if you could buy different colored plastic stands then they would be cheep as chips now cos there would be more stands than docks
why does an iphone cost 1k yet you gets the shittyest headphones in the world.
