Rebuild Battery: Will Buy Dead Averatec 1000 Series Battery

Would like to attempt to rebuild an Averatec Series1000 battery. Have plans and internal electronic information. Only problem I don't have a dead or nonchargeable battery. Would like to buy a dead battery for ten dollars plus your shipping costs. After bebuild will post results and method of rebuild, plus success or failure story.

well i have an official sony extended battery that lasted oh.about 4 months brand new and it simply wont charge that ill give u free but averatec i have never heard of...

To Classusa: Thank you for the offer of the Sony Battery; that was very kind of you. I need the Averatec 1000 battery to fit in my computer to test it and determine the location and use of the eight pins that join the battery to the computer. It is more complicated than just opening and replacing cells. There is a printed circuit in the battery that has a number of functions. It determine dead cells, prevents overcharge,undercharge and reversing polarity. Once you determine how the circuit lays out, then you can replace the cells. That's why I need the battery I will use in the computer.
